Don’t you just enjoy seeing all the twinkling lights and wonderful creations arranged during the holiday season? It makes leaving work in the dark a little bit better. I always try to set a winter night aside to travel around and see all the different light shows and holiday events in my area. So here is a list I put together of Holiday events in the area to check out. What better way to put you in the Christmas spirit than sparkling lights and festive music. Now the only thing missing is a light dusting of snow!
Holiday Fantasy in Lights & Hayrides: Madison, WI Now through January 3, 2016 Olin Park
The Electric Group puts on an annual holiday display of Christmas lights and LED displays. Load up the car, stop for hot cider or cocoa, and drive through the “Fantasy in Lights” display at Olin Park. For even more excitement, hop on the Madison parks hayride. $2 per person

Polar Express Train Ride: Middleton, WI Weekends through December 27, 2015 2:00PM, 4:00PM, 6:00PM, 8:00PM
Depart Middleton for the North Pole, as the Polar Express comes to the Wisconsin and Southern Railroad this year. Dress your kids in their PJs, drink hot cocoa and sing carols as you make your way to the “North Pole”. When you arrive, Santa will come aboard for a visit.

Rotary Botanical Gardens Holiday Light Show: Janesville, WI December 11-13, 17-23, 26 & 27, January 2 & 3 4:00PM-8:00PM
The show will be bigger, better and more beautiful than ever, as the wintery garden paths are brought to life with: 370,000 lights, 100 beautifully decorated trees, over 2,500 luminaries, 500 dangling icicle lights hung from the tallest trees in the Garden and more.
